Women Travel Leaders is a professional association of high-performing women in the travel industry that seeks to elevate other female travel leaders through community connections, peer-to-peer coaching, tailored community lead learning, and masterminding.

Our Story
Women Travel Leaders began in San Francisco in 2016 as a way to share best practices and build camaraderie between top women in the industry. We took camping trips, cooked meals in one another's homes, arranged intimate VIP events at local hotels, and facilitated group coaching and vision-boarding sessions. The organization has grown to include chapters in San Francisco, Peru, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, the UK, New Zealand, Brazil, and beyond. Throughout the challenges of the 2020 pandemic, WTL started providing support virtually, expanding even further to bring together more women to share resources in a time of crisis.
WTL Founders
Founders Jennine Cohen and Catherine Gallagher came together from across an ocean with a common vision and purpose. Both successful luxury and adventure travel professionals and life coaches, their desire was to bring the magic of coaching to their female peers in the adventure travel industry.
Jennine Cohen
Jennine has always believed in the power of travel and coaching to transform the world.
She is a longtime trip planner, leader, and advisor in the adventure travel industry. Frequently called upon as a media source, she has been quoted in Travel & Leisure, AFAR, National Geographic, Conde Nast Traveler, Vogue, YahooTravel, Fortune, Forbes, Vox News, and others and was named a Forbes Changemaker.
This passion has fueled a lifetime of her own adventuring to the farthest corners of the earth and two decades of guiding, scouting, cultivating relationships, and planning once-in-a-lifetime journeys for discerning clients.
When it comes to coaching, Jennine takes a holistic approach. She weaves in energy and intuition medicine, encouraging clients to value “being” as much as “doing” and practice deep grounding. When she’s not planning trips or coaching, you can find her meditating, rafting, doing yoga, swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, salsa or samba dancing, kite surfing, and running.

Catherine Gallagher
Catherine is a UK-based travel business coach, social entrepreneur, and mastermind leader.
After spending the first decade of her career in recruitment and talent development she followed her dreams and set up her own travel business, which she led for the better part of the next 10 years. She loved arranging ethical, experiential travel for high-end clients, but she felt somewhat lost in the wilderness of entrepreneurship. She wished there were an industry-specific, trusted community that she could call upon for support, and now she’s excited to be helping to shape just this kind of community with Women Travel Leaders.
Catherine passionately believes in the transformational effects that travel can bring and is committed to supporting leaders that share this belief. She brings a unique mix of business, professional development knowledge, travel industry experience, and coaching expertise, along with the perspective of balancing motherhood with her business adventures.
